With professionals from all around the world touching down in Nice Airport this year, ZZZ thought we’d put together a guide on the best ways to get to Cannes as it may be a little different to when you were last there…
There are a few ways you can get from the airport into Cannes…
Taxi
If you plan to go by taxi we would suggest booking in advance, however you can also get an uber as soon as you’ve collected your luggage or hop into a taxi outside Nice Airport.
An uber usually costs around €50 – €60 but during busier times will be surcharging or hard to find and jumping in a taxi can cost between €85 – €150. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes.
If you’re heading out for a conference we’d recommend prebooking your transfer with Murad and his team. If you email them at zzzvtcnice@gmail.com with the below information they will look after you.
The cost for their private taxi transfers are:
1 – 3 pax car – €95
4 – 6 pax people carrier – €130
Multiple drop off – €10 per address.

Bus
Taking the bus is very easy, reasonable and only takes 45minutes. You would need to take the Nice Airport Xpress bus – No 81– niceairportxpress.com
The Bus leaves from Nice Airport Terminal 2 to Cannes Train Station – NB The bus no longer operates from Terminal 1.
The first bus departs at 08:00 and runs at 45 min intervals thereafter, the last bus leaves the airport at 21:00.
If your landing at Terminal 1 – Turn left out of the arrivals’ hall, once outside you will see the Tram stop on the right. Cross the Tram lines to the other side and take any Tram to Terminal 2 – this takes 4 mins.
Train
Take Tram No.2 or 3 from the airport to the Grand Arénas station (which is free from the airport to the Train Station) It is a short walk to Nice St Agustin Station. From here you can get a train into Cannes. Tickets cost from 6.70€ depending on the day.
Landing at Terminal 1 – Turn left out of arrivals’ hall and the Tram is outside on your right. Take the platform closest to you heading right.
Landing at Terminal 2 – Turn right out of arrivals and the Tram is in front of you between Exits A2/A3 – Tram heads right.
Driving
It takes approx. 30 minutes – depending on traffic, allow more at peak hours – along the A8 Autoroute. Remember, parking in Cannes is at a premium, and often difficult to find. We suggest looking at the Parking Pantiero by the Old Port or Parking Lamy off rue d’Antibes.
Helicopter
There are a number of helicopter companies that offer private transfers.
This is by far the quickest way to transfer – Fight time is approximately 10-15 mins
